What was the £100k of debt? Was this business debt or personal?Debt Fully Paid Off (20/06/2019): £54,441.87

Paid a bit of it but not too much.
I see it like this, I owed money to organisations worth billions who hammer “The little man” every day.
Not even going to pretend I lost any sleep because I didn’t.0 -

Do you really think you affected the people at the top? It will be the staff who work in branches who lost their jobs when the branches closed. Then there are the people without cars who will not be able to get to a branch easily as their local one closed.
And you don't lose sleep over that? However you see it you will have been involved in people losing their jobs as when banks don;t make profits the ones at the top make sure they are ok.
Read some stories on here about the problems people have when they lose their jobs and say you don't lose sleep over the distress you helped to cause. And I have been clear to say helped to cause before you come on saying it is nothing to do with you.Aiming to make £7,500 online in 20220 -
The banks haven’t shut branches because they lost or lose money. Banks make cut backs because they can to make even more money.0

Interestingly it was MBNA greed that started this. They increased my yearly APR in 2009 to well over 30% from 16% overnight. At the time I had not missed any payments and refused to pay this, they ruined my credit file and here we are today.
As my dear old Dad used to say “The banks will give you an umbrella and take it away when it starts to rain’0 -
Refusing to pay ruined your credit file. If what they did was wrong and there were no reasons for it did you challenge it?Aiming to make £7,500 online in 20220

I asked them to explain why my apr rate had been jacked through the roof. “We have assessed your risk rating and applied accordingly” at the time my credit rating was in great shape with no payments missed on anything.
They refused to lower it, I refused to pay it.
Owed them £10k, they accepted £2k as a full and final.0 -
