I've just tapped my details in to comparethemarket.com
For me, Bulb would be ~£88 more expensive a year than the cheapest energy provider.
Interestingly, Bulb appears on offer only one tariff: it's variable and obviously doesn't have any exit fees.
Punters need to have switched to Bulb by 30th September 2019 to get the cashback. GiffGaff's payout should happen on or before 1st November 2019.
Is there anything that would prevent someone from switching just before the 30th September cut-off date and switching away after 1st November? If timed correctly, you may only have to stick with Bulb for about two months.
Bulb's variable tariff isn't that bad. But being variable means prices will probably creep up.0 -
