Should I close dormant Credit Cards?
Comments
-
Are you aiming to get new credit in the next 6m, 12m, longer? If you are would it just be for the offers of free tickets or because you need spending power or to finance something.
If you are not applying for anything, then it does not matter either way. Not really much difference between closing accounts and having dormant cards with zero balances as far as the fictional score goes.
As stated above different creditors view the cards differently. If you are applying for major finance like a mortgage, then the cards and the potential to run up debt can be a factor.0
