Thanks Gary. Would increasing the limit on card 1 first mean the possibility of a higher limit for card 3 then? Is that what you might be getting at? Or is it just my financial criterium that roughly dictate what credit limit I will get when applying for a new card?0

No a higher limit on other cards doesn't denote a higher limit on future card applications.0

imo, having only had card 2 for one month, then putting in application for another so soon.. makes you look like your wanting credit ASAP, and that COULD worry lenders!0

Ok, so just got accepted for a Halifax Classic credit card. £9600 limit.
