I am looking at a project to keep an Android Phone outside (under a rain cover) that is constantly powered on using solar power.
Can anyone recommend a good solar power option? Maybe a cheap or a top of the line product that has worked well for you in the UK.

Note that in the vast majority of cases solar "power" only applies when they're in direct sunlight - which is all very well on a nice sunny day without a cloud in the sky, but no good when its miserable and overcast.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hiluckey-15000mAh-Waterproof-Portable-Smartphone/dp/B07PVP7DFV could be of interest? This has a battery which acts to charge phones, while the solar panels recharge the charger's own internal batteries, which reduces the dependency to a degree on sunlight.0 -

24W ??? more like 10w under a good sun it seems..
They seem to be pushing it hard, reviews leave out the important facts like what is the true output???
One review showed an Android phone with close to 70% charge, 3000mAh battery. Charge time was almost 1.5 hours. Under 5w.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
The solar panels on my roof work in shade and cloud. Not as well as when the sun is directly above them at 11am, but they still put out power.Neil_Jones wrote: »Note that in the vast majority of cases solar "power" only applies when they're in direct sunlight - which is all very well on a nice sunny day without a cloud in the sky, but no good when its miserable and overcast.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230
