Advice needed for contact overseas landlord

Hello forum,

I'm currently a tenant in a property managed by KFH in London and would like to find a replacement tenant and move out 3 months before the tenancy ends.

I've spoken mostly by email with KFH and what has me a bit worried is about referencing when renting my next property. I asked KFH if they would give me a reference and they've said they don't do this anymore and I'll have to speak with the landlord directly.

The problem is on the tenancy agreement I only have a holding company name, address in Pakistan and a signature of the landlord (signing digitally).

Should I be worried about this? I don't want to be in an situation where I put down a deposit with my partner for a property only to be refused said property because I can't get a reference.

Regards,
Nick

I don't think you're going to get a reference, so the answer is to only put down a deposit on a property that doesn't require one.

Those are contact details. You can ask. Landlords don't need to give references anyway.
