Ncp parking charge notice almost 5 weeks after event

Today The keeper received a parking charge notice from Ncp. £100 or £60 if paid within 14 days of the date of the notice. The date on the notice is 31 May. The letter arrived today, 5 June. The date of the parking it relates to was 3 May.

a ticket was purchased. It was saved for around 3.5 weeks then binned, thinking all was well. cash was used to pay so now there is no proof that of purchase. Unless cctv can be used as proof? Is it easier to just pay up the £60 even though it’s upsetting how wrong this is.

conflicting advice has been read about how long ncp has to send the notice out.. 28 days and also 14 days has been read. Which is correct? If it’s 28 days, it’s very convenient that their paperwork is dated 31 May which is 28 days after the event, even though if that’s the case it’s taken 5 days for the letter to get to the keeper! Any advice please?

Edit your post to remove information about who did what. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people.
Do this before you do anything else!

The timings depend on whether or not a NTD was left on the vehicle.

Start by reading the sicky thread for NEWBIES then send the appeal template in blue you will find in post 1.

I’ve edited. Have I done it correctly?

Nothing was left on the vehicle

    Actually I don’t understand.

We can't do cases like this, we need people to have read the sticky thread, so please read the NEWBIES thread first, that's why it's in capitals at the top of this board. Do the usual appeal online as keeper.

You have a simple case to win as long as you NEVER imply who parked.

Not really, although the driver's identity is no longer revealed which is the main thing.

The driver entered the car park. The keeper received a NTK through the post from the PPC.

If no NTD was left then the NTK must arrive by day 14 for keeper liability to apply. They have failed to do this so you should add a one liner to that effect to the appeal template from the NEWBIES.
It is absolutely imperative that the driver's identity is never revealed.

The first sentence of your opening post should be:
Today the keeper received a parking charge notice from Ncp.

Delete the last sentence from your second post - post #3.

And perhaps CM will remove the quote from her post too.

Thank you. I’ve read the sticky but omg I’m bamboozled. Is there a link to the template? So if they think the driver and keeper are different people, they cannot fine? I mean I’m not trying to scam anything, a ticket was genuinely purchased. I’m having trouble sifting through the info to find the appropriate advice

Please read it again and tell me what's confusing?

You are reading the NEWBIES THREAD?

I know I wrote it but everyone understands it. There's no legalese.
Is there a link to the template?
No, it's there in blue writing. Look again. We won't & can't post it individually.

Unless yours was a lease/hire car, in which case look at the company/hire cars section in the sticky. There is a different appeal if you were the lessee or hirer/company car keeper.

You cannot possibly have read the relevant parts of the NEWBIES in the short time that has elapsed.
It is a brew and biscuits job, several times over.

You need to read and re-read and read again to understand how this scam works, and how to beat the scammers.

You should also complain to your MP about this unregulated scam.

The template is in blue type and is in post 1 of the NEWBIES like I already told you. There is only one appeal template in post 1.

I’ve edited my posts, hopefully this is ok. I do apologise, I’m just struggling a little with this. Mainly trying to identify a case like the one I’ve posted above, and basically what to do next. Didn’t realise it would be so coded and difficult :(

In what way is this coded or difficult? I advised you to:
Do the usual appeal online as keeper.

You have a simple case to win as long as you NEVER imply who parked.

One of the first Q&A in the NEWBIES thread tells you:
Q - ''I have read the NEWBIES thread but cannot find anything specific to my case...my case is different''.

A - NO IT ISN'T. YOU DO NOT NEED SPECIFICS. FORGET THE DETAIL, MOST CASES ARE ALL THE SAME.

Make a cuppa and read the thread (and not on a phone, not sure if you were but it doesn't work well on this forum).

Stop looking for a case like yours. They are all the same.
