Risk driving <1 mile? (suspension issue)
Options
Car heard me say that I was raking it in at the moment.
Back driver side has dropped - I realised because I could hear almost a dragging sound (thought something was caught in front of a tyre!) and when I've looked, the rear mud flap is in contact with the tyre. I'm not sure 'how bad' it is in terms of whether spring has snapped or it's something else but am well aware that the car needs to go into the garage tomorrow.
My garage is 0.7 miles down the hill, decent roads and a slow journey due to parked cars. Would you risk the drive or should I be getting the car recovered? It's at home and I do have breakdown cover with home recovery, it's just that calling them out is less convenient than running it down myself.

Get it recovered. You might do more damage driving it (to the car or something else if you lose control) and there’s a tiny risk that you might be stopped and asked why you’re driving an unroadworthy vehicle.0
