Here are the conditions of entry which apply to the Make Holidays Greener competition. Please read them carefully, as they contain important information you should know.

Who’s running the competition?

Information about the prize and how to enter form part of these conditions of entry. Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these conditions of entry. These conditions of entry may change from time to time without notice.

The entry period is from 00:01 5 June 2019 to 23:59 30 September 2019.

This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with any social media chanel upon which it appears.

These conditions of entry are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh Courts.

Can I play?
This competition is open to entrants aged 18 and over, and is only applicable to those who have made a pledge under the customer section, of the holidaymaker part of the site. It is not open to travel businesses or hoteliers as business entities, but only to individuals. You won’t be eligible to take part in this competition if you, or your immediate family (including parents, children, siblings, spouse/partner and grandparents), or housemates are directors, management, employees, officers or contractors of ABTA Ltd or its subsidiary or parent or affiliated companies.

How do I enter?
You don’t have to buy anything to enter or win but the following are mandatory entry requirements to take part:

Make at least 1 green holiday pledge and complete it
How do you pick the winner?
We will be selecting the winner at random by using an automated selector.

The random selection is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

ABTA reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who has engaged in unlawful or improper conduct that is designed to jeopardise the fair conduct of the competition or is generally damaging to the reputation of ABTA, or has otherwise breached these conditions of entry (as determined in ABTA’s sole discretion). ABTA's decision is final.

ABTA can cancel or modify the competition, and its rules, for compelling technical or administrative reasons which we cannot control. If that happens, ABTA would not be able to provide a prize or may select the winner from all eligible entries received up to that time.

How do I find out if I have won?
We will contact the winner of the prize by 18 October 2019 by email or by phone. We’ll then sort out any details required for the prize with the winner. By entering you confirm that you have no objections to us contacting you by email or phone.

If you do win …
You can’t exchange the prize for cash or an alternative, or ask us to give it to someone else. We will use reasonable efforts to award the prize as described but if we are unable to do that, we may substitute it either for cash or another prize of comparable value, but we’ll decide which.

You are responsible for your use of the prize, including complying with any applicable terms and conditions of use. ABTA bears no responsibility in relation to the usage.

Events may occur that render the competition, or the awarding of the prize, impossible due to reasons beyond the control of ABTA. Accordingly ABTA may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the competition and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to ABTA as a result.

To the extent permitted by law, ABTA expressly excludes:
