parking tips for gig at Heaton Park

Hi,
I'm going to one of the big gigs at Heaton Park this month and will be driving (travelling from north of Manchester).
I've just received an email saying that parking is at Sheepfoot Lane near the park. £15 all day.
Just wondering if there are alternative, easier and (this isn't vital) cheaper options of driving to the gig and parking. I can imagine it will be crazy getting out of the car park/area afterwards.
I once waited an hour to get out of Milton Keynes Bowl, then spent another hour and 11 miles on a one way system before I drove past my starting point before my 5 hour drive home! Bad memories.

There are loads of roads nearby that have no parking restrictions.
Heys Road
Hampden Road
Heywood Rd to name three. I live there and am looking forward to listening to it for free from my garden . High flying birds on Friday Park Life Saturday and Sunday.
Which gig are you going toLife is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0 -
