Moving from WFTC to UC my story.

Might be worth phoning UC on 0800 328 5644 to book a Job Centre self employment review appointment. The reason for this is to discuss options.
Because you had been self employed for 12 months or more, UC applied the MIF. You then moved to a different county and this disrupted the business. You were then told to close the self employment, which you have done.
What you want to discuss, is being able to search for a primary employed Job and to have self employment as secondary employment. The self employment would not be gainful employment at this stage and you would report income and expenses.
If the Job Centre Work Coach is not sure about this, they can refer this to colleagues that help with technical issues. They might have to come back to you with a decision. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -
