Froth on koi pond

I have never had a problem with the pond before but its covered in froth. The pond contains koi and goldfish


Anyone else had this problem?

    Is the pond aerated, with a pump / flowing water? Sometimes it is lack of oxygen in the water & with the hot weather the fish are gasping for breath giving the bubbles / froth


    I had all my fish die once in humid weather because of this

    As above, it's probably inadequate filtration/aeration. A healthy pond with a reasonable population of fish requires a surprising amount of filtration.

    But what's your filter? How much of the water is circulated per hour?

    Im not sure. Never had a problem before this year though. I wondered if it was the koi spawning
