My Barclay card statement is supposed to be produced today but there’s nothing showing at all for it. I have spent on the card.

I contacted them on twitter and they said it should be there by 6:30 today but it still isn’t showing.

Is this normal for Barclay card.

Thank yoh

I got my first Barclaycard statment last month. When it wasnt avialable (in the app) on the statment date I contacted BCard who told me it would appear within two days of the statement date. Maybe it's that?

Sounds like you are on Billing Day 1 for your statements. That means your account will bill on the first working day of the month - which will have been Monday 3rd June. It is fairly normal for the statement production process to take another day or so. You will now have another 25 days to make a payment (so around 28th June which will be advised on your statement).

Is there a particular reason why you need to see your statement so urgently? (although I accept it is none of my business).

I want to check how long I have promo rate as I couldn’t see anything when I applied and also how much my minim would be.

I get paranoid about my finances that I check several times a week to make sure I have money to last till end of the month to next pay day. I do have money just I want to stay afloat and not get in the red

Understood. In that case, you perhaps need to try 'ring fencing' the cash that you will be using to pay your card off. This won't always work, if you don't have the cash available until, say, pay-day later in the month but you can try it.

Open an easy-access savings account (paying 1.5% interest) and every time you use your credit card, transfer the same amount from your current account into the savings account. This will stop you from overspending on the card and will 'ring fence' the funds you need to pay off your credit card when the statement comes in.

There are other ways to do it, such as using an easy-access regular saver, but as long as your current account carries a reasonable cash 'buffer' from month to month, this way might help to ease the paranoia.

My usual Barclaycard statement day is the 4th of the month, which Barclaycard show on the 5th of the month as a payment due and what my actual payment due is.

Statement usually shows up on the 6th of the month which is two days after my usual billing cycle with Barclaycard and has always been this way with them.

You'll soon get used to the way they do things.
