First time mortgage application question

Hello.
At this time I currently go between my family home and my partner’s house. I contribute to my Mother’s house and pay half the rent and all the bills at my partner’s houses (long story).
I may be able to purchase my partner’s house from the current landlords (may as well pay mortgage as rent).
As I already pay more than the mortgage payments and household bills would be (and have a deposit ready&good credit score) should this be sufficient for a successful application OR, should I pay everything I can (TV license, council tax, water, energy bills in credit, etc.) in order to show “available income” for the most favourable outcome?

    If you buy the house, please keep everything in just your name.


    Have a get-out plan for your partner. If you split up and he can't afford rent and bills alone, that will put you in a very difficult situation. (I am in a similar boat, so just making you aware. Not that I want to split, but it does cross my mind.)


    Sounds like a pricey way of getting to move in full time with your partner. Why can't you just move in there now and not pay your mum's?

    Hello,
    Thank you for the advice Hazjo – makes sense! You are right and we have discussed it. I hope things work out for you.
    It seems a good way to get onto the property ladder - no estate agent or moving fees. And the landlords are happy to have the rent until I can sort the mortgage out (as they do wish to sell the property anyway). I just want to know the best options for the mortgage.
