Haven't used HSBC account in 6-10 years, think its still active.

But not sure the details, what can I do? The reason I think this is because I still get emails now and again from HSBC it was just the most recent one mentioned about my Visa card and when I last used it I had a cashcard so worried if its still active a card has been sent to previous address and can be used for fraud.


Can I go on my credit files and see any info there?

Well I tried livechat and on phone and they say I can't do anything without sort code and account number, despite having my previous addresses, passport etc.

So you've got nothing with sort code account number on, an old cheque maybe ?

Or go into a branch with some identification

Or make a SAR request using your name, address and dob. I successfully made a SAR request to Natwest without sort code or account number and managed to get over 40 pages of documents including full account details.
