Can i Cancel Now tv right now?

I have just activated a free 3 month entertainment pass, can i also cancel it today
without it stopping the pass until the 3 months expire.

No, if you cancel you only get 1 month remaining of your pass. Put a reminder in for 2 months.

I almost cancelled straight after activating,so i will hang fire for now and set a reminder for later.

Normally, the passes remain active until they expire, not within a month of when you cancel. I recently bought a 9 month sports pass and cancelled subscription a week later, and got an email saying it would continue until December (9 months). However, it's worth leaving until later for entertainment as they will offer you a reduced deal to continue (usually about half price for a few months) so you have that option. It should show on your passes section on Now TV website.

I have now cancelled my pass which will expire on the 3rd sept, it shows in my account as cancelled but i have not received an email, should i receive an email to confirm?
