Hi, I had car finance a number of years ago through First National Motor Finance. I was told I had to take a PPI policy to get the finance and am now looking to make a claim for this. Do I contact the Finance company or Household Bank, who were the insurer I paid the PPI payment to? Thanks

You complain to whoever sold it to you. If it was pre-regulation, I wouldn't bother.0

It was around 2003/2004 it was sold. Do you think it's not worth the effort at this late stage? Thanks0

Car dealers were not regulated until January 2005, so any complaint you make about earlier insurance sales do not even have to be considered. The insurer has no liability in any case, only the dealer. It was around 2003/2004 it was sold. Do you think it's not worth the effort at this late stage?
