Hi all,

Newbie to this and just wondered if someone could read my POPLA please? the RK received a NtK and appealed using the template from this site. Appeal was rejected so a POPLA has been drafted. I would appreciate any feedback/ advice please?

Your appeal rejection letter has your vehicle registration number, your PCN number and your PoPLA code clearly visible.

That is all the information needed for a mischievous person to submit a PoPLA appeal on your behalf.

Suggest you immediately adjust that image.

The other images need similar treatment.

Also are your initials VT, with a six letter surname?
If so, you would be wise to signup again to Dropbox with a truly anonymous username.

The parking companies are known to trawl this forum just waiting for people to trip themselves up and can try and use your posts against you.

Please urgently take down all the docs as they show all your personal codes and refs. etc.

Re-post with all personal details redacted.

Your appeal rejection letter still shows your vehicle registration number - towards the bottom of the first page, and your PoPLA code is still there on the second page of that letter.

Remove the horrible intro someone wrote who didn't know what a split infinitive is:
I, the registered keeper of this vehicle, received a letter dated 26/04/2019 acting as a notice to the registered keeper. My appeal to the Operator; Euro Car Parks was submitted and acknowledged by the Operator on 02/05/2019 and rejected via an
email dated 30/05/2019. I contend that I, as the keeper am not liable for the alleged parking charge and wish to appeal against I on the following grounds
And before you even think about trying POPLA (which doesn't always work v ECP, not that anyone is stupid enough to then pay them!) you must complain to the Matalan Store Manager in person.

Far more chance of success than POPLA and can be cancelled the same day. ALWAYS exhaust the retailer complaint before trying POPLA as it's easier for a PPC to agree to cancel when the retailer contacts them.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This was done before sending the appeal, the store manager apologised and advised to appeal against the ticket. Not willing to help at all.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so complain to your MP.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Move it to Matalan Head Office then, and to the retail park management if it's a multi-store site. It's the first thing to do BEFORE trying POPLA (as people sometimes lose).

So far you have not yet exhausted the winning likelihood of cancellation by retailers. This is all seen to be true in the linked thread in the NEWBIES first post, called SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS ABOUT PPCS.

Never too late and there's always another Manager or CEO to escalate it to.
