PCN - One Parking Solutions - Car Park - purchased after grace period expired

Hi all,
I've recently received a £100 fine from One Parking Solution, in regard to a stay in a car park, as the ticket was bought after the grace period had ended.
Not having any cash the driver organised payment via the advertised app, Just Park, which had never used before and had to be downloaded. By the time this had been done it was apparently over their grace period and the keeper is liable for a £100 fine!
The amount of parking paid for did cover the extent of the stay, if that's important?
Obviously, there is the intention to appeal.
Many thanks for any advice.

Everyone is asked to read up on this in the newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum before starting a new thread
Go there now to get an understanding of the game you are now caught up in
Your questions are answered there as well as full chapter and verse on how to appeal
Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving
You need to edit your post to remove details of who was driving
If your user name contains your real name then you need to get MSE to change it to something anonymous
The ppcs monitor this forum and can use posts in your thread against you0 -
You are dealing with a scam of course this is unreasonable, and grace periods are there to help the motorist in all fairness, but scam artists are rarely fair and have turned grace periods into another way to catch victims.
Follow Quentin's advice, if it got to court hopefully a judge might think they are being unreasonable too.0 -
BPA scammers at their best
It is because of this scamming attitude that government is introducing a new code of practice.
You appeal as you said above, pointing out "what did they do with the money you paid" ???
This is so trivial and a judge will no doubt treat this as unreasonable
Let us know what they say when you appeal0 -
Did you read NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST, yet? Top of this board.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so complain to your MP.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
