Booking Ferries Tesco Tokens

I have just CANCELLED a booking with STENNA LINE as they want to charge me an EXTRA £118.50 for using Tesco Clubcard tokens.
The same goes for Irish Ferries but a little less at £107.75.

This to me is discrimination.

Stenna Line said that there is a discount for travel on at the moment but we cannot get it as we are using the Tesco payment so are being charged full price.

No it's not. At least not in a legal sense.

Were these fees not in the terms when you purchased or did you not read them?

Extremely common for a company to not allow the use of multiple discounts/ promotions for a single purchase.

    Its not discrimination.

With Tesco vouchers you usually trade up, doubling or tripling your money to get vouchers. Those discounts come form somewhere. Theyre not free to the company.

They have decided in their terms they don't offer double discounts, the discounts from the Tesco vouchers and their own separate non Tesco offers.

It is not discrimination. Do not be foolish.

    OMG DISCRIMINATION!!11!1one

Behave. They just don't allow the use of more than one promotion at a time - and using Clubcard points is classed as a promotion.
    Perfectly normal.
I'm sure they'll be distraught that one customer has CANCELLED (why the caps?) their booking because the customer didn't read the T&Cs.

    Clubcard vouchers cannot be:

Used as full or part payment against Landbridge, ferry + accommodation bookings, foot passenger day trips, Rail & Sail, Business Traveller, minibus, coach or group fares
Used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer i.e Kids go free, sale fare or discount
Accepted as payment at the ports
    Refunded in any way
Used for travel on our Liverpool – Belfast route due to limited availability

    Discrimination :rotfl:

Your choice. Buy using your Tesco vouchers (which themselves generate a decent discount) or buy at the best cash price you can get. I bet you're still paying less in cash using the vouchers than if you dont.

You can always use your Tesco vouchers for something else.
