DRO & wifes pension

Options
Morning folks, excuse me if this is a dumb question, at present I'm eligible for a DRO,
however, in August my wife will have access to a substantial private pension, will this
bar me from being able to apply?

Thanks

    Not necessarily.

But to avoid any complication regarding you having a lower share of the household expenses (if that would take you over the £50 per month surplus rule) it might be better if she does not draw a monthly income from it (one lump would be OK) until your DRO completes
