In the past week my bank account got closed. I tried to open a new one at a couple of places and got rejected. So instead as a short term fix I opened an account with U account a pre paid card. My wages got put in on Friday but I have no ways of accessing them till card arrives which could be as long as the 10th June. Any ideas how I get done money out. It lets me transfer me money but I don’t have any where to transfer too.

Transfer to a friends account and withdraw at a cash machine.0

I don’t really have friends that could do that with and I have no family local0

The real question is why your account was closed and why you can no longer any new ones.
Care to enlighten us?0 -
I’m not sure why my account has been closed (Santander) have gave me zero information why and just referred me to other groups to get more details. My credit rating sucks back from the past. I was just in a rush to find help so I can eat. I don’t have money to buy food till I get the card.0

I guess you just have to hope that the card arrives faster than the estimate. Try a Starling Bank or Monzo account, they are easy to open (without overdraft), no fees and card arrives in a couple of days.Evolution, not revolution0

This sounds more than credit rating issues and more like a CIFAS marker.0 -
This is the sort of event that emergency savings are there to deal with. They are for a rainy day, and here it is, being very inclement.
If you are silly enough not to have any emergency savings at all then I’d suggest a few hours begging until you have a few pounds, buying a big bag of brown rice and living off that.0 -
What happened to the money in the closed Santander account?0
