Gloss white for woodwork in house

Up until now, all the woodwork in my house - doors, skirting, coving, has been finished in white satin coat.
However it is getting a bit tatty and worn through, so I was thinking of redecorating using gloss white instead, just to give a crisper, sharper finish.
Can anyone recommend a decent, well priced gloss white, which will paint straight over the water based satin which is the existing finish?
Thanks.

I have used Dulux Non Drip Brilliant White gloss paint for years until I can across a review for Johnstone's Non Drip Brilliant White.
Their undercoat & gloss paints are absolutely excellent paints, good consistency, easy to use & give good coverage.
Best of all they are very good value for money.
At £8.00 for a 1.25 litre tin at Argos it beats Dulux any day.

I have also used 6 x 5 litre tins of their Silk emulsion paints, that is also the best paint I have used in years.0 -
I recently used Crown high gloss. It was on offer in Wilkos £12.50 for 2.5 litres. Excellent paint. Went on well.0

And won't go yellow ?0

Stick with a quality water based satin. All gloss yellow fast nowadays! You will regret using gloss if you do go ahead with it.0

I have completely stopped using any white gloss because its usually yellow within a couple of months, whatever the brand. Very annoying. All I use in satin paint now, although this can go yellow as well.
If I could find an old fashioned stay white none eco gloss paint, I'd fall on it in glee, fumes and all (never killed me, constantly repainting does) lol.0 -

The Dulux trade Diamond white eggshell Gloss used by my decorator is as white today as it was 6 years ago.
Very had wearing and cleans up with a damp cloth.

Exactly what this post says. The downside to V.O.C's being removed from paint is the premature yellowing.
You also have to take into account what was originally used as the oils can still bleed through. Good primer and compatible top coat is the best combination. Some people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0
