Just a quick question - this is my first branch based Regular Saver maturing.
Matures on June 1st - when is the interest actually available - would it usually be the day following maturity? And as June 1st was a weekend, will I be able to pop in tomorrow (Monday) to transfer the money, or will I have to wait until Tuesday?

According to my local branch on Saturday:
It matured on Saturday 1st June and interest was added to your account on that day. BUT, you couldn't withdraw the money on Saturday because the account can only be closed by "Head Office" and that's closed on Saturdays!
I asked for my acount to be closed and be added to the queue for Head Office to process on Monday 3rd (today); the closing statement I was given showed the interest added.
In fact, the account has been closed and the funds (including an extra 3p presumably for the extra two days) were transferred to my bank account sometime around 10:30 this morning.0
