Hello again everyone, sorry to be asking more questions but I'm reading up on the various things and getting myself confused so I wondered if anyone could clarify a few things for me?
If/when my son comes out of full time education and is found to be eligible for the standard allowance of £251.77 - if he meets the criteria for LCWRA would he then get £336.20 as well as the standard allowance or is that instead of?
Next question - I understand that the child related benefit bits of my UC claim would go if he is claiming as a person not in education but would anything he receives affect any other part of my claim such as the amount for looking after him or the housing benefit element of it?
Last question - if/when I start earning money, is the amount you're allowed to earn on top of Carer's Allowance disregarded for the UC claim or do they take it away from your claim straight away? But is it then correct that you can still receive the carer element to UC if you're earning too much to claim Carer's Allowance?
I'm very grateful for clarification if anyone can provide it. I'm not trying to fiddle anything, we're just in a position where it looks like life might be easier if we opt out of college and go for a more community based support package from social services - he'd still get 'education' via his EHCP but I don't think it would count as full time (although I might be wrong, I haven't read everything yet!). I'm just trying to work out the financial implications of each scenario so I can work out what might be best to do next.
Thank you in advance for any info

As well.

No. however if you no longer receive a child element at all in your UC you will no longer be entitled to a Work Allowance (unless you receive the LCWRA element yourself). This means that if you have any earnings there will be no earnings disregard.

All income is taken into account for UC (with a few exceptions) subject to any Work Allowance and the 63% taper rate. However there is no earnings limit for the carer element, unlike Carer’s Allowance.

That's really helpful, Calcotti, thank you so much, I've bookmarked it all to refer back to, I find the system very confusing so it's really helpful to have someone clarify specific points like that, thank you again
