With Whatsapp, 2 black ticks on the message meant that it had been sent and received. The black ticks changed to blue when the receiver activated and read the message.


However, this no longer happens, has anyone else had this issue, the black ticks changing to blue?

    No - all works fine for me. Perhaps you could reinstall the app? or ensure there's not an update you've missed.

    I've uninstalled and installed several times, but still not working as it used to.

    Check Settings>Account>Privacy and ensure Read Receipts are on

    The recipient can choose to withhold sending read receipts. If that is the case, you are just out of luck.

    I believe you can also turn off the 'last seen' date/time if you like your privacy.

    Same thing happened to me and I also tried to uninstall and install few times, but I just lost my hope and now just waiting for their updates on app.
