Ex display kitchens

Options
Hi. I have a tiny kitchen area (less than 2metre across and 2 metres in length max) About 15 years ago I was lucky enough to find a kitchen showroom with a display that fitted almost exactly as the little fake kitchen areas are often about the same size as my actual kitchen. I now need to replace it and wondered if anyone knew how to get information about the display kitchens in showrooms. Looking around ebay and Google all the ex display kitchens seem to be large and high end. Anyone work in a showroom ( of any kind) and give me some tips? I have£100s rather than thousands to spend. (And yes I know I could go to IKEA and homebase but I just want to know what happens to all the little kitchen displays)

My local kitchen showrooms almost always try to sell off ex-display kitchen with heavy discount before going to the usual online channels. I've been watching used kitchen on ebay and gumtree for several month and most high end brand new ones are rarely at £100s, you can get some used (under 3 years) kitchen for £100s though.

Why not pop into your most local showroom and ask when they may be changing their displays or enquire as to what happens with them. You never know what might be lingering in their warehouse, even perhaps a return that you could possibly get at a reduced price.

Have a look on the local freegle and Facebook selling sites, there's sometimes people swapping out perfectly good kitchens and selling cheap or giving away free.

Also, if your carcasss are ok, you may be able to source new doors and worktops cheaply, again as ex display from a local showroom or perhaps even speaking with a local kitchen fitter ?
