Online Fraud, Halifax no help

To me it doesn't sound like an online fraud at all. To start with, is she registered for online banking at all? Have they not changed the online banking passwords when setting up her a new account? I suspect the card has been copied and details were read by a cash machine. It is easy enough to read the name and account details from the card once it is inserted and subsequently an online search will give the address and the phone number.0

Your friend seriously needs to consider changing their phone number. It's highly likely they will be targeted in future given what's happened.0
