M&S Shares

I have received a letter inviting me to purchase additional shares in M&S. It says that if I purchase the amount of shares they are offering, my shareholding will not be diluted after the merger with Ocado - so presumably if I don't purchase then the value of my current shares will suffer.
Just wondered if anyone else is going to buy them, or is this the beginning of the end for M&S?
Is it worth investing a bit more or money down the drain?
Sorry have just noticed there is already a thread on this:o

There's already a thread about the M&S rights issue here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6007991/m-s-rights-issue"If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

Or you can sell some rights and use that cash to exercise the option on the one's you don't sell, that way the value of your total shareholding should (subject to market movement) stay the same.0 -
The value of you current shares will suffer (drop in value) whatever option you take. But you can sell the rights you have or do nothing and you will get some cash when the offer ends.

Thanks, have gone for the last option, so at least it won't cost me anything:)Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0
