I have been quoted £2500 to re-tile the floors of my home as above. The total area is approximately 40 square metres. This quote is for labour, grouting and possibility of needing levelling screed, I will have to supply the tiles. The kitchen and utility currently have tiles and the quote includes removal of these. The WC and hallway have carpet and laminate floors respectively, again removal is included.
The same gent has quoted £520 for replacing carpet in 4m2 bathroom with tiles.
I'm in the midlands. Both quotes seem a little high to me now that I've done some online research, but equally the downstairs is a big job What do you think?

How does it compare with the other quotes you received?0

I got a quote in London, to just lay tiles, not even remove tiles or level the floor, £450 for 10sqm.
So your quote is good, from what I can see.0 -
I just paid £360 for 11sqm in liverpool0

I'm still waiting on quotes to be emailed to me from two other tilers, but they have taken a while getting back to me..0

Thanks _Shel, did that include tile removal and prep, or was the floor ready and that price was just for laying the tiles? If for everything your quote would be about 1k short of mine for the square metres you see. Thanks in advance0
