Any suggestions for getting rid of this pain. I've tried lots of things but not many seem to work.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

The only thing I've found to work is burning them. Even when you pick off all the leaves and treat, it appears to go, then it comes back!
Some varieties, like Annabelle, seem more prone, but that's based on limited experience and it might have been the supplier.
Apparently, it doesn't help growing near rose bay willowherb, which is supposed to be a host to the rust0
