Neighbour has cut off our water.

Please help or move if necessary.

We have just moved out of our property we own and are preparing for tenants to move in.

A person who owns our shared access yard had an issue with the water to his business next door. He has dug up the yard and made an attempt to repair the pipe, the work is questionable to be honest. He has fixed his own supply and has not reconnected ours. Whether this is to get money out of us we are not sure. Now he is making excuses to not to come and fix it. He is saying he's too busy to come and finish it. He just isn't bothered.

Granted we are not there but we have tenants coming in soon and we need this sorting. Severn trent are not interested as it's on private land. He did not consult us on this work either.
In debt no more!

I am not an expert but surely you just report 'I have no water' to Severn Trent and they come out?

I would not elaborate on what you think is the problem - if you pay water rates to them then I think they DO have an interest.

You need proper legal advice from a solicitor.

The water company is responsible for the pipe work up to the main stopc@ck & water meter. Give them another call and complain vociferously to a manager - Don't take "no" for an answer.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

The replies above are fine if this is part of the public water supply, but not everyone is connected to that.

Is it a private supply? If so, what do your title documents say about water supplies?

If the pipe works exposed what would it take to get it re connected?
