Thanks NMC, I can only try
and  to 11 years :rotfl: pleased you made the leap from lurkdom! x
With the surveys I definitely find PA the best, I tend to leave a tab open when I'm on my laptop and that seems to be the best way to catch the surveys as they pop up. The regular £5 cash outs soon mount up and keep momentum going. I've only just got back to YouGov and OnePoll as I've had slow success there in the past. Have tried a few other companies but found them too frustrating.
So today I've had a £6.99 spend on a bottle of wine for me and hubby to enjoy tonight taking grocery spends for the month up to £108.50. It's one we really like and is on offer so not an essential purchase but definitely a lovely treat
Today saw a couple of DD's go out along with the SO for CC2. Another £3 cashed out from TCB and sent to CC1 along with a £2.21 current account tidy.
Debt total currently at £13,4431 -
Miserable weather here so after a quick tidy around the house this morning I've been to the supermarket to grab a few 'picnic bits' and going to take the boys to my sister-in-law's house to have an indoor picnic with their cousins. £12.94 spent, not bad as there'll be 7 of us sharing the food and this included a bottle of medicine for the baby who is cutting more teeth at the moment
While I was out I topped up my petrol - £19.99 spent. So to round up my current account I've sent £2.07 to CC1
Total grocery spends June now at £121.44
Update on surveys:
Yougov - 1005
OnePoll - £3.80
Prolific - £2.45 confirmed, £7.09 pending
Receipt Hog - 1242
Shoppix - 540
Hope everyone's having a good weekend x1 -
Wow! The start to your journey has been so positive. Here to cheer you on and follow the journey.1

Thanks FootyFanDan I’m definitely feeling full of motivation at the moment, I’m sure I’ll have a dip at some point but for now I’m enjoying having a bit of focus & seeing the benefit of a few small wins chipping away at the debt.
The boys were up at 6 this morning & the sun has made an appearance for the first time in several days so after breakfast we were out for a walk to a nearby park, think we all felt the benefit of a bit of sunshine and fresh air.
Chicken roasting in the oven, kitchen cleaned so a productive morning so far - I think I’ve earned a break while I enjoy a cuppa & a catch up on here.
Hubby placed a small accumulator on a few sports results yesterday (from his personal spends) while he had a few drinks & a catch up with some friends.
This resulted in a £50 win which he’s says we can use half for a family treat (to be decided) & half towards debt so we’ve transferred £25 across to the family loan, a lovely unexpected start to Sunday1 -
Hubby & oldest boy have gone out for an afternoon at a car rally and baby's having a nap so have been thinking about my £9,999 by 01/01/20 target.
Debt at start of diary was £13,636 so need to clear £3,637 to achieve goal.
£170 'normal' payments each month (£60 to CC1, £60 to CC2, £50 to Family Loan) x 7 (Jun-Dec) = £1,190
Leaves £2,447 to find - extra payments so far this month total £50 leaves £2,397 to find, an average of £350 per month.
If, as has been the case in the last 2 months, we can continue to use hubby's wage for the majority of our living costs once I return to work then I think this goal is definitely achieveable as long as we keep focused.
Basic calculations are that after deductions for pension, etc I should clear around £600 per month on my new part time wages.
Ooooh feeling quite excited that we might just be able to do this :j:j2 -

I can certainly hope I can follow the pattern you have set with the motivation. At present I am finding it nice to be able to write everything down and early on I am thinking of targets and improvements to make but hopefully even further into my diary when I am making the tough decision I can stick at it and see the end goal as motivation enough1 -
You've made a start Dan and sometimes that's the hardest thing, plans may change but you know where you want to be & I'm sure you'll get there.
Another NSD for me today so now up to 6/30 for June. Had some more sunshine today so 2 loads of laundry done but also got out for a lovely walk with the baby this morning then played in the garden when my oldest boy came back from nursery. Trying to make the most of the weather as the forecast is truly dreadful for the rest of the week.
Yesterday was a low spend day for Hubby & oldest boy at the car rally. Total spend there £9.50 (used hubby's winnings from Saturday so there's still £15.50 left for another treat for us somewhere). Money well spent as they both had a blast
No change to the bank account but just had another cash out from PA of £4.80 which has duly been sent to CC1.1 -
Spendy Tuesday in the DancingInTheRain household. Usual weekly shop included more medicinal items for baby and hubby who are both under the weather & I also picked up a bottle of screenwash -total spend today is £90.06!!!
So total grocery spend for June is now at £211.50
Also picked up some little treats for the boys to give to hubby on Father's Day, came to £10.25 (from my personal spends).
Cashed out £2.86 from TCB and sent this across to CC1. Will wait for today's spends showing as cleared on the current account tomorrow to see if there is anything to round the account up and hopefully transfer another small amount tomorrow.
I'm sure my current account and credit card providers are wondering what's happening with all these little paymentsI know I could put these little amount in a savings account and just pay it across to the CC once a month but at the moment it's really satisying to feel like I'm chipping away every couple of days or so.
The rain has held off so far here today so sneaked another load of washing on the line, keeping an eye on the clouds in between snuggling my poorly boy and giving the house a quick tidy round.
Hope everyone else is doing well today x2 -
Morning all
No Dancing but plenty of Rain here today. Baby still poorly (teething and stomach bug) so not a lot of a sleep happening in our house at the moment.
Took advantage of being awake half the night and sorted through the kids toys. So the toys are now organised (until oldest comes home from nursery), broken toys in the bin, outgrown/unused toys bagged and taken to the charity shop.
Yesterdays spends have now cleared in my current account plus a DD went out today, left an untidy £1.46 so this has gone across to CC1.
Little one is having a nap (finally!!!), must get on with some jobs while there's a bit of peace!
Have a great day folks x1
