Just a quick heads up for all you lovely peeps.
I banks with Lloyds and last Friday 24th May I deposited a cheque to my account using their mobile banking app.
When checking my account balance this morning it appears that the cheque deposit transaction has been duplicated. My account has been credited twice & the drawers account, debited twice:(
I immediately phoned Lloyds and after a VERY lengthy phone call it appears I'm not the only one this has happened to!
Not sure if it's a problem with the app just on this day or what but it sounds like there's a problem at t'mill (Lloyds).
I've been told it could take up to 18 days to resolve.
Any others have a similar issue??

No - don't spend the money and they will sort it for you - in about 18 days!0

I'd be more concerned about the cheque writer's account. Presumably Lloyds would meet any additional costs incurred by the payer:cool:0 -
It is unfair but I would not think so - the drawer's own bank would have to sort them out. As I said unfair but only practical way to go forward.0
