Hi All
So I generally only use my Credit Card as a last resort and I only ever use interest free credit cards and pay them off before the interest free period is over.
However I do use it quite a lot and was thinking maybe I should get a cashback credit card or an Air mile credit cards.
Would you recommend one or the other?

Do you "only use [your] Credit Card as a last resort" or do you "use it quite a lot" ?
If it is the latter then it is probably worth you collecting some sort of reward with it. Unless you already collect air miles and are well versed in the intricacies of extracting maximum value from them, then cash is almost certainly better for you.0 -
I don't think your circumstances make most of them a good deal for you.
You get the best out of rewards credit cards if you use them wherever and whenever possible and pay it off in full every month without exception, which is pretty much the opposite of what you say you do!
However, 0% rewards credit cards do exist - have a look at the American Express Rewards Credit Card - https://www.americanexpress.com/uk/credit-cards/rewards-purchases-credit-card/?linknav=uk-amex-cardshop-details-browse-theAmericanExpressRewardsPurchasesCreditCard
It's a good card which I slow stoozed by ripping out the generous credit limit, sometimes paying down the balance so I could use it to accrue points on shop arbitrage betting activity. Very useful card.0 -
Thanks very much I will take a look !0

I am so confused...This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Yes Sorry let me reword that I only use my credit card for larger purchases like holidays and or anything over about £400 so to say I only use it as a last restore was a fib0

Looking on Martins article https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/cashback-credit-cards/ I think I will just stick with a cashback card like the "The Urbanite" recommended with interest free credit.0
