Please don't start threads like this again. Anyone who starts threads like this will be lambasted by all the BTLers who are desperate for prices to rise faster and faster and crap their pants at the mere thought that prices may drop as they'll end up in negative equity and wont be able to afford the nice lifestyle they enjoy now by MEWing out value from their properties and their wives will leave them for that nice man down the road you know the one with the Jag and the tight a$$ she keeps staring at and then all their obnoxious friends wont talk to them as they wont have money to spend on expesive tasteless drinks at badly decorated wine bars.Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.0 -
Annualising some of these figures makes for scary reading.
The prices in the West Midlands dropped 2.4% last month. Annualising that gives a drop of 25.3%.
The North West gives a drop 18.6%.
Crikey!
A very good point. I've got really annoyed just lately with the media reports mentioning a survey showing prices reducing, but going on to say that it is simply a matter of prices rising less ie. at 8.8% year on year instead of 10%, as if it wasn't a drop at all.
Looking forward to what they are going to say when the % 'increase' turns negative.0 -
