Has anyone had problems actually having the money transferred into your account?
I contacted HSBC, found out I have PPI form 1998, and they said they will pay XX amount in a letter dated 3rd April.
I responded by accepting the amount, filling in my current bank details on there form and using their pre paid enveloped, they received this 11th April.
A few weeks later I called to see what was happening and was told a letter had been sent out that day for me to take ID to a HSBC branch to prove who I am. Fair enough I thought and I awaited letter...
Letter did not arrive, so I called again last week Tue 21st May, man told me to go to a HSBC bank with ID and a letter will be on the system for them.
Went to bank that day, with ID, spoke to cashier, no note/letter on system. Manager then took me to a room filled in various bits n bobs re filled out the form asking for my account details, copied my ID etc, and sent it internally. He said if not heard anything by mid next week to call them.
Called them today, got the we received your bank detaisl on 27th it will take 28 days to process... I said no hold on a min, you received the bank details on 11th April.... conversation went on, turns out the payment has been processed. To which I said I have not received the monies I am happy to show you my bank statement to prove this...
The lady is looking into it all and will get back to me on Monday 3rd June if not before.
Has anyone else had problems with them saying they have sent out letters, made transfer etc?
It seems they are happy to say yes we will pay you XX, but are unhappy to actually make the transfer

People will always have problems occasionally. But it won't have any bearing on your case.
The payment will come through. They're obviously not deliberately delaying it.0 -
You'll eventually get your money. Remember, interest continues to accrue until the redress is actually paid into your account so it's not in the Bank's interests to deliberately delay paying you.
Are your Bank details correct? If so, then it's unreasonable for you to have to wait a further 28 days and you might wish to escalate your complaint to a higher level of management (as I did back in 2012)0 -

Oo so the amount may have gone up a few pennies then?
Yes bank details are all correct, the bank Manager at the branch I visited filled in the form and we both checked the details.
