Car finance issue
Hi there.
I need some help.
Over a month ago, I got a new car under a new Hire Purchase agreement, that paid the dealer £1,000 more so that it could be used to pay off the outstanding settlement figure for my old car. I had signed everything off over to the dealer and he assured me he would be paying off the outstanding debt, however I’ve had a call this morning from my old finance company stating that they have not received any payment. This dealership does not open today until 12pm so I want to know what my next steps should be. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

The dealer won't (or shouldn't) sell this car on to a new customer without the finance being cleared so it looks like it's an oversight.
Just call them and ask why the finance hasn't been cleared and see what they say...0 -
