Hi,
I'm new here so please excuse me if i've posted this in the wrong place
I was wondering if any of you could help, I have a £100 balance left to pay on my holiday and i was wondering if I were to pay it off on my credit card will it still be classed as a purchase and keep my 0%?
I've already paid the rest on debit card but for the last £100 was wondering if I could put it on the Credit card but don't work to lose my interest free.
thanks

Yes it will count as a purchase0

Why do you imagine that it would not be classed as a purchase>
Why would you loose your 'interest free' by making this transaction?0 -
I was just asking because I read online that sometimes a bill can be classified as a cash advance and wondered what a balance would be classed as in the eyes of the credit card provider. I know technically it’s a purchase but just wanted to check it would be seen like that.
And asking because if they class it as anything but a purchase I’d lose the 0% on purchases.0 -

Because sometimes transactions may be considered as money transfers rather than purchases and the OP wasn't sure if this would be the case or not here.0 -

If you pay that £100 on a credit card, you'll also get Section 75 protection should the holiday company go belly up.0 -

No you wouldn't. Why should you? You would simply be charged interest on the transaction in question until it was repaid. Nothing else would be affected in any way. But don't worry. A payment to a travel agent/tour operator/airline/hotel or whatever will not be classed as a cash transaction.
Okay thank you for clarifying. I obviously misinterpreted the T&Cs of the credit card and understood it as I’d lose it altogether so just wanted to check.
