HELP! Static caravan placement whilst waiting on approval

Hi,
We are about to do a house up (renovation) on a farm and have put in for planning which is for temporary living in a static next to the house whilst we are renovating.
Now the planning approval is not an issue, as we already have been told it will be ok, my question is though, is there a way of having the caravan next to the house before the planning application is actually approved legally.
As it needs to be delivered and sited by the end of June, but the actual planning approval won't be in until the end of July.
Are you able to live in it in the hope the planning will be approved beforehand? or is it an absolute no no? It's just otherwise we will need to rent somewhere for a month which is a massive pain in the !!!.
I thought I read years ago somewhere that you can be in it on site whilst planning is being processed under pre-approval or something like that, but I cannot find anything now, Does anyone know?

Is there anywhere fairly subtle to put it? If the planning is likely to be approved, then it's unlikely there'll be anybody complain.0

The first step in any enforcement action is to allow you an opportunity to make a planning application, if you hadn't already - they're not going to take active steps to enforce while there's an application being considered. So I wouldn't worry (other than the possibility of peeing off neighbours if any of them care about it).0

I have no real expertise in this area, but I'd say it's worth just going ahead anyway, pending Planning Approval. In fact if your Council is like mine, they barely have enough staff and time to respond to and take enforcement action against much more serious breaches of planning conditions.
I know, as I had to complain several times about heavy vehicle tipper truck movements outside agreed hours, noise, dust and excessive vibration without the promised monitoring technology, from a 13m excavation in our narrow residential mews road during recent demolition and rebuild. Nothing happened apart from one limp visit a fortnight later; not even a rap on the knuckles. And it took us six months to get an unapproved fourth storey stopped and Court action by the Council to get it knocked down, when a developer tried to chance his arm by massively extending a house near my former home into a HMO; again, in a narrow residential street.
So while what you are doing is dodgy, it's not likely to be top of the Council hit list- especially in no-one complains. After all, it's not on the scale of illegal traveller encampments, which also tend to take ages to clear.

Also, don't forget that you can legitimately site the caravan for 28 days without planning consent anyway.

No matter how rural and remote this may be it will undoubtedly be noticed as people love talking about newcomers and changes. Sure. But sticking it subtly behind a barn or hedge is a very different matter to siting it where it has the best view (=best view of the caravan...)No matter how rural and remote this may be it will undoubtedly be noticed as people love talking about newcomers and changes. I don't imagine it would be problem in practice though.0 -
