MBNA and Capital One say can't find accounts from late 90s

Options
Hello,

I'm trying to pursue a PPI claim but I don't have the paperwork and it's relating to credit cards taken out in the late 1990s. I've filled in the online PPI forms with past addresses, but keep getting knocked back with MBNA and CapitalOne saying they can't find any accounts for me. I have some old credit reports, but they don't have the account numbers either. Is this hopeless?

Many thanks.

    Yes.

If nobody had any records, there's no evidence of anything.

Your only option is to send a SAR to each company bt honestly, it's not srprising they can't find anything after 20 odd years
