Do banks give out statement folders?

Options
Barclays gave me one when i opened my account, as did NatWest.
I was just wondering - do all banks do this?
Could you just go into any bank and ask for a statement folder (with a please in it!)?
Hi, I've already asked and been granted for permission via PM for a Help for Heroes link. Pfft.

Haven't seen one of them for many years - Most banks and building societies seem to send out statements in A4, pre-puched to fit a standard ring-binder (which is what I use).
  • The one from Barclays is an ordinery ring binder with the Barclays logo on it and the word "statements".

Could be worth an ask then - HSBC used to do them when their statements were smaller, they send me wallets or credit-card holders these days.
  • Funny this was mentioned, I was going to ask Barclays this very question when I pop in to pay some money in this week. Although I've started using a cheapy foolscap container I bought from Tesco for filing finance paperwork.

Out of interest, how do you get the wallets or credit-card holders from HSBC?

Last time I asked, I was told HSBC don't do them anymore - though they managed to find some 'old stock' for my Dad when he asked..

Got the last lot when they changed their Premier account T&Cs (how much you need to lend or borrow from them) - couple of years ago I think. A decent wallet (still in use) and a chequebook holder (errm, probably somewhere) - was all good gear. Been with them since they were Midland - always seemed to send out something branded every few years, bit of a !!!!!! if they've stopped...

    [edit] !!!!!!, you can't say b u g g e r any more!

I have some from HSBC but mine were issued more than 5 years ago.

Annoyingly none of my credit card statements are pre punched, so it's hunt the puncher each month. :(
