3. Participation
Participation in this promotion is free.
4. Right to participate
Adults 18 years and older, except for employees of Promotur Turismo de Canarias and their family members, subsidiary companies or any other company, agency or person related to this competition or its mechanics can participate.
5. Mechanics
Puzzle game:
You can access this competition via the competition web site www.visitcanaryislands.es .
Once you enter the competition page, you will be requested to register by introducing your personal details so you can enter the game.
The game consists in an image that you have to visualize for a few seconds. After this short time, the images will become mixed up. You will have to place them in their original order while running against the clock. Once finished, your score will be displayed on your computer screen. You can participate as many times as you like, but you can only save your best score.
However, you can only play by using one name and username.
6. Prizes
Three stays for two people on the Canary Islands:
The stay includes:
" 4 nights in a double room at a hotel. Breakfast is included.
The first person ranked can choose between one of three hotels from the list below. Once the hotel is chosen, the second person ranked can choose from the remaining two hotels, and the third person ranked will opt for the only hotel left.
Hotel list:
" Gran Hotel Bahía del Duque Resort (5 stars, located in Tenerife).
" Hesperia Lanzarote (5 stars, located in Lanzarote).
" Gran Hotel Atlantis Bahía Real (5 stars, located in Fuerteventura).
Once the hotel is chosen, changes are not allowed.
The prize should be used before March 31, 2008. Not valid on Christmas, New Year Day and Easter time.
The choice of the hotel is subject to the room availability of the hotel.
Only one trip per participant can be won.
Prizes are not transferable.
Prizes cannot be exchanged for a cash payment or any other prize.
Promotur Turismo de Canarias is not responsible for how the winner uses the prize.
Promotur Turismo de Canarias reserves the right to remove any participant from the contest that they consider to be making bad use or abuse of the competition.
The commercialization and/or sale of gifts is prohibited.
The winner will responsible for paying for any expenses in terms of improvements or extras not offered in the prize.
Any additional expenses due to delays or negligence on behalf of the winner will be at his/her expense, unless otherwise expressly established in the present rules.
The prize(s) that are granted will not be transferable; namely: in the case that for any circumstance the winner(s) could not or don't want to accept the prize(s), or refuse to accept it/them, Promotur Turismo de Canarias will proceed to name another winner.
The claims period ends 30 natural days after the names of the winners have been published.
Promotur Turismo de Canarias reserves the right to select an alternative winner in the case where they have reasonable motives to believe that the participant has infringed on any of these terms and conditions.
The identity of the winners will be exclusively certified by legal documents, a passport or any other identification document.
7. Notifying the winners
The names of the winners will be published on the web page https://www.turismodecanarias.es. All winners will be notified by email once the contest has ended.
The participant will be notified via email of the prize that he/she has won. Each contest winner will have three working days from the time of notification to accept the prize by sending a confirmation via electronic mail.
If after the 3 working days from the time of notification, the corresponding participant has not accepted the prize via electronic mail due to reasons beyond the control of Promotur Turismo de Canarias, or if the prize is rejected, it will be passed on the next person on the waiting list. In the case that the incidence persists, the prize will not be awarded. The waiting list will be based on the scores ranked by the participants.
8. Image rights of winners
Participants automatically consent, upon participating in the present promotion, to the use, publication and reproduction around the world and without limitations, on behalf of Promotur Turismo de Canarias, of his/her image and name in any kind of advertising, promotion, publication (Internet included) or any other means of whatever nature, for commercial or informative purposes if and only when these are related to the present competition, without reimbursement of any kind to the participant and without the need to pay any fee.
9. Personal data
Registration details must be truthful and complete.
In the case that these details were false, incomplete or erroneous, if the corresponding participant had won a prize, it will be automatically passed on to the participants on the waiting list.
The data registered will be included on a file that is property of Promotur Turismo de Canarias, in accordance with the 15/99 Act of 13 December, of the Protection of Personal Data. Promotur Turismo de Canarias declares that they have adopted the technical and organizational measures for the protection of data in accordance with the Royal Decree 994/1999, Regulations for Security Measures and the community directives in terms of data protection.
Promotur Turismo de Canarias has adopted the necessary technical and organizational measures to guarantee the security and integrity of the data, as well as to avoid its alteration, loss, treatment, or unauthorized access.
In compliance with the Services for the Information Society and Electronic Commerce Act, the user expressly authorizes Promotur Turismo de Canarias to send him/her publicity via electronic mail (and regular mail) or by other electronic means such as SMS about Canary Islands tourism, as well as activities and events that they organize. The data will be included in a database that is the property of Promotur Turismo de Canarias with registered office in Victor Hugo 60, post code 35006, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain where you can request information, rectification, opposition or cancellation of your data by sending a letter to the corresponding address previously mentioned, together with a copy of your passport or official certification with the reference "DATA PROTECTION".
The purpose of the file is aimed at managing the participants of the competition.
Participants will be able to exercise the right to cancel the electronic communications or express their opposition to the treatment of the data by sending an email to the following address info@turismodecanarias.com
10. Modifications
Promotur Turismo de Canarias reserves the right to make changes or add successive appendixes about the mechanics and prizes, only when they are justified, do not harm the participants, and are duly notified. For this reason we recommend entering the competition web site to be promptly informed.
11. Participants cancellation/expulsion
Promotur Turismo de Canarias reserves the right to automatically expel without prior notice any participant that they feel are not complying with the participation conditions or are making bad use or abuse of the promotion.
12. Exemption from responsibilities
Promotur Turismo de Canarias will not be responsible for the winner's use of the prize.
Promotur Turismo de Canarias is not responsible for the delay, damage or loss of the delivery of the prize for any cause not directly attributable to the promoter.
Promotur Turismo de Canarias is not responsible for the services that third party companies should lend the winners for the prize of the present competition.
Participation via the Internet:
Promotur Turismo de Canarias excludes any responsibility for damage or harm of all nature that could be due to the temporary lack of availability or continuity of the functioning of the web through which one can participate in the contest, and in particular, although exclusively, the failure to access the different pages, and the sending of the participation answers via the Internet.
13. Notary
The rules of this contest have been deposited for notaries record before Notary Mr. Miguel Ruiz Gallardón, from Madrid, Spain which can be consulted on the web www.visitcanaryislands.es
14. Acceptance of the rules
Participating in this competition implies the acceptance of these rules without reservation.
Participants could be requested to deliver a written document accepting all the terms and conditions of the competition.
15. Force Majeure
In the event that the contest could not be carried out due to contest fraud, technical errors or any other problem that is beyond the control of Promotur Turismo de Canarias, and which affects the normal development of the promotion, Promotur Turismo de Canarias reserves the right to cancel, modify or suspend the contest, via a notification on the web www.visitcanaryislands.es
16. Legislation
For any controversy, the Spanish Law will be applied and the case brought before the Courts and Tribunals of Madrid. Spain.
