Hello all...... We're back !
Actually we came home yesterday from a relaxing holiday, but now we are back to the same old stressful stuff.
Anyway seems a lot has happened on here too while we were AWOL and lots of you are in the same boat, so I shall offer condolences to AOD and love and hugs to everyone.
We have been back over the van this morning to put the cover on and pick up the last few things. I now have a load in the WM which I shall hang on the whirly as the sun has come out :j. After lunch we are going to Dad's as his letterbox collapsed while we were away and it's also letting in a " terrible draft ". Mr Fix It repaired it once about 6yrs ago, but I don't know if it's re-fixable now. Dad will come over later for his tea which will be a burger in a bun and chips/salad. Sadly here's another one whose diet has left the building, too many wrong foods and eating at different times to normal . Probably put my 6lb loss back on but I'm too cowardly to get on the scales .
taff good luck with the DH being home and under your feet :rotfl:. Must say I enjoy having Mr Fix It around 24/7, plus he's handy to help with any heavy lifting.
Speky hang on in there. Have you tried Yoga ? It's supposed to help in managing stress. Just a thought.
Snoozer I'm glad all is well for Laura.
I hope the poorly ones get better soon and the Sandman will be sent out a.s.a.p. to the insomniacs.
Take care and hugs to all.

Afternoon. Nice and sunny here at the moment. Not sleeping well is awful isn't it. I've tried all sorts of approaches to getting a good night's sleep and I haven't found a consistent formula. I have noticed that watching detective/thriller type programmes just before bed doesn't help - I think my brain keeps busy trying to solve the mystery. I drink "bedtime brew" by Yorkshire tea but I think it's just a nice habit rather than contributing to sleep. I spray lavender around the bed too but really a good nights sleep is haphazard but very welcome. Whatever we are worrying about is always much worse in the early hours.0

Hello all,ooh it's nearly lunchtime already .Been busy with DGS who stayed last night as usual, his mum has just picked him up,she doesn't work Thurs/Fri.He made me laugh yesterday - I'd taken the loaf out and it was cooling on the worktop. He was perched on the breakfast stools, leaned forward and took a big bite from the top :rotfl:Mind you new baked bread is kinda hard to resist
.Luckily I was able to slice the crust off, which he promptly ate so no harm done.
Very dreary today but we need the rain, there was a photo in the local paper showing one of our reservoirs being very low.
Morries delivery in a bit.Not ordered any washing liquid this time, last week the top came off in the bag and soaked a few things, but fair play to them I did get refunded and a goodwill gesture of a fiver too :T
Holly, hope your mood improves quickly, you've had such a lot going on it's not surprising you've dipped a bit x
Speky, hope you regain your equilibrium soon, hugs.
Csarina. I also enjoyed your story yesterday, sometimes people just need to be shown, and RR you are doing your bit x
Take care folks xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Good afternoon everyone
After a dull start to the day the sun is outand it is lovely and warm. I've taken advantage of the weather and got a couple of loads of washing done and on the line.
The forecast is really good for the weekend so I'm looking forward to that. I think I am going to stay with my brother, because my sister in law and nephew have got tickets to the football match in Madrid so are off there for a few days.
For some reason I'm really tired today so will have a little nap shortly.
I'm sorry to hear about your OH being made redundant taff. It does sound like you have really prepared for it well. I would imagine it will take time to get used to having him at home.
HH I hope that you are feeling a bit better today.
The baby safe looks good OL. It is a shame that this is needed but great that there are people like your daughter out there who are prepared to do this.
Specky I thought the same as taff. I wondered if this is the first big pitch that you haven't secured.
Nelski I hope that the course goes well today. At least when you get home tonight you know that you have a few days off.
Have a good afternoon and evening everyone.x0 -
Afternoon everybody.
Really warm here today, but overcast most of the time....?will get back to clearing 2 boxes in the garden of any weeds so that spinach plants can go in.
Dinner tonight is in DD1s hands, pork chops I think, not sure what with. When OH went walking this morning he had the great idea of buying a couple of kilos of gigot chops......I hate them unless in Irish stew, will make it later on and stick it in the freezer for some day it's cold or I am feeling even lazier than usual.
Speky...give yourself a break, you are obviously very good at your job,. nobody is going to look for your head about the Berlin job.
Nelski.....like Speky,it's time you realised your worth, have a restful weekend..
Holly....enjoy your weekend with your brother.
Hester......hope that your move went well and that you are feeling better today.
Long weekend here and we have Bloom (our Chelsea) until Monday....DD4 and I are planning to go, there are wheelchairs to be borrowed, which will help my mobility or lack thereoff.
Stay safe everybody

Anyone remember me?
I'm just checking in, nothing of interest to report, but having been awol from MSE for a while, thought I'd poke my head round the door.
Mr Wolf's been to the GP today for his meds review; GP says he's ok, but wants him to have a fasting blood test because he hasn't had one in a while.
He's only just over three, yes THREE attempts at a colonoscopy which has been something of a fiasco. We're hoping that the third one, which was a CT scan as opposed to the - ahem - "direct" approach that the first two were, will be the end of it. Awaiting the results now.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all from sunny Minshead. We havs had a lovely break and will be going home tomorrow. DD has just come back from booking for next year. She got a very good deal.
HH hope you feel better today. Speky sending you positive vibes. LW lovely to hear from you. Sending positive vibes for Mr Wolf.
Well hugs to all and have a good evening.

Afternoon all,
Thanks for the well wishes. To answer some of your kind suggestions, I actually have been going to yoga 2 or 3 times a week for about 6 months now which I now absolutely love for body and mind.
It's one of the bigger deals I've ever been involved with, so I suppose that does have a part to play. It was just really scary how it escalated much further beyond just that particular sale. I thought about others, then questioned my ability, then if I am cut out for the job, then why I moved away, then what it is all for, then will I make a lasting impact etc etc. I'm in a better place now thankfully.0
