Leather sofa : can it be dyed?

I bought a leather corner unit from DFS a couple of years ago, it's like a brushed leather and it is still in good condition.
However it's a tan colour and I really don't like it. I would love to dye it or better still pay someone to dye it. I would like to dye it a charcoal colour.
I know it's only a colour and I could just put some throws on it.
Thought I would ask anyway, can it be dyed? Any advice.
Thankyou

there are companies that dye leather. usually car seats etc and they come to you to do this. i would suspect on a DFS sofa (unless it was a particularly expensive one) that this service could be prohibitively expensive. i paid just over £100 to have part of the backrest on my car seat re-coloured so i suspect a whole sofa would be many hundreds?0 -
The difficulty will be taking all the upholstery off. I can’t see it being cost effective, i’d imagine better off selling it and buying one in the colour you want and getting a new warranty etc0

You can dye it yes, but because it has a softer nap, it will take the dye up like a sponge, so if you are going to attempt it yourself, get a spray gun of some kind ad test it out on the back first.
Google dyeing nubuck sofa, you'll come up with quite a few hits, read a few of them to get more of an overall idea of what you have to do.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
