DON'T BOTHER. They are on a marketing fishing trip for your personal information.
I saw an advert for Day Car Insurance on a wall somewhere recently and took a photo to remind me to download it and have a look, as I am buying a new car in the next few weeks...anyway I have just been through the ordeal of signing up and filling out all the necessary forms and driving licence stuff to only be told they won't cover the vehicle as its worth over £40,000.
Now, one of the first questions you are asked on their form is 'how much is the car worth' and you have a slide bar which goes up to £100,000. I moved the bar to £60,000 as thats how much I will be paying for my new car.
They then collect all my personal information, including getting me to confirm details from my drivers licence.
They then say 'we cannot cover vehicles over £40,000'.
So what they are doing is gathering data on you, even after they know they are of no use to you.
I logged a complaint and after requesting all of my information to be deleted, I was told that they always keep "a couple of bits of information". When I asked what bits, they didnt answer my question and simply said "I will pass the information on".
Caveat emptor!
ps. Have images but wont allow me to link photos

never confine yourself to one insurer, not moneysaving, use a broker if your car is a specialist high value type"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
