Personal Injury Insurance - same as PPI?

Options
HI
When I started university, 27 years ago, I changed bank and they sold me a personal injury policy, covering loss of limbs, vision etc.
Several years later, I rang the bank and asked to cancel it, as I felt it wasn't needed. The adviser strongly advised/pressured against cancellation and said you don't get these kinds of policies any more..
I still pay for this policy.
Would this count as PPI? At the age of 18 I was talked into buying the policy. Years later I was told not to cancel it. and still I pay!
Can you let me know if this would quality for PPI please?
sincere thanks!
Karen

No. They have nothing in common with PPI.

Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) is a policy protecting credit arrangements like loans and credit cards against unemployment and sickness. It was widely mis-sold to people for whom the insurance was not suitable.

Unless you are immune to accident and injury the insurance you actually have is a useful policy that was in no way mis-sold to you.

PPI is not an acronym for refund. No one therefore "qualifies" for PPI.
