Windows Media Player-Duplicate Songs

When I download music from my Windows Media player onto My Micro SD card the songs appear twice or more on my Windows Music Player. Is there any way I can delete the duplicates without going through the tedious task of deleting every duplicate separately. It does take ages, as I have over 700 different pieces of music on my Windows Media Player. Thank you.

WMP might be scanning your entire computer for music files. See if you can find the settings for where to look, and make it just look in your 'Music' folder, or at least not that card/drive.0
