What to do with posts if you are constantly moving ?

I am not sure if this is the right or best forum for this question. Apologies if it is not.
We are currently renting and soon we will be moving. My wife and kids will be moving abroad and I will be moving to a shared accommodation. I may have to keep moving around where my work is before I settle down in one place. Or, I may move abroad to join my family after an year. I know this is complicated and uncertain at the moment.
I need help in handling posts. If I opt for royal mail redirection, every time I change my address I will have to pay (we have 2 different surnames among 3 of us !!). Other option is to have it redirected to a friends place but I will have to keep visiting them personally to collect.
Please could someone help me with suggestions here. I will be very grateful for your kind advise.
Thanks,
Am

You can redirect to a local post office who will hold your mail for you. You can opt out of 90% of mail nowadays anyway.0

What post are you referring to?
Banks, Credit Card, Insurance, Employment Correspondence etc, you can change your address either online or via a phone call. All the other stuff is just rubbish, no?0 -
Always a good idea to have the post redirected. One option might be to have it all redirected to where your wife will be moving to (I'm assuming she'll be a bit more stationary!), then she can open all the post and scan anything over to you that needs to be dealt with by you. It's obviously more expensive to redirect internationally - but you'll only need to do it once.No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0

Remember to change the address on your driving license.0

There are "virtual offices" that will open your mail and scan and email it to you, then either hold the originals or securely shred them.

Also, if you get a VoIP phone number you can take that with you anywhere, so you don't have to keep changing your phone number. You could even port in your existing landline number if you have one.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
There are lots of private mail redirection companies, will usualy charge you x amount per letter and/or a monthly fee. They don't charge for a change of address generally.
That or a PO box, which again has a fee and has the downside of you having to visit it to collect your mail is the only other option I don't see sudgested.0
