copy photos from Motorola to Macbook

Hello, I take photos on both an ipad and a Motorola phone and want to consolidate the photos of a recent holiday so that they are all stored on my Macbook Air. I think I could move them by connecting the Motorola phone to the Macbook air with a usb cable. Never done it before so is this the easiest way??

or is there a different way???

I have saved 91 photos taken on the Motorola phone (which are backed up to Google cloud) I saved them into an album and sent the album by e mail to myself. I opened the e mail and then tried to save the folder to "my pictures" on my Macbook Air. It only seemed able to save them as a web version rather than actual photos.

Can anyone suggest the best and most straight forward method of saving the photos I take on an android phone onto my Macbook Air.

Many thanks

Flipping Heck.... I have done it. Many thanks ballyblack.

It sounds so easy when you say just find photos and download, but as there were 91 photos saved in Google cloud I wasn't waiting long enough for the whole lot to download so only seeing 9 of them. I did it several times and then waited and now I've saved them where I wanted them among all my holiday photos.

I just need to amalgamate the ones taken on the ipad into the same folder and I will have a nice album of our recent river cruise.

Hope this helps someone else too.

upload the pics not already in Google photos by hitting the upload button

Then when all in Google Photos you can designate a Google Album for them

Then you can view this album with ALL pics on the Motorola

Great for sharing by sending a link to that folder on line!

Thanks, I’m really just wanting to keep all of my photos in folders in my pictures/my holiday photos on my Apple Mac. I have the horrible thought that because my photos are in both Google and Apple Cloud format that I will loose control of where they are. My aim is to keep photos on the Mac and keep them backed up plus they are in the cloud as a belt and braces backup.

    Thanks for your help.
